Green PST - Green infrastructure as an integral part of network analysis

Densification has been shown to contribute to certain key goals in Agenda 2030, but at the same time conflicts with others. Green areas are highlighted as central to the solution because they contribute to greater resilience to climate change effects and have a positive effect on public health and well-being.
Despite the knowledge that connections between green areas are important, design support tools used today focus on measuring the efficiency of green areas primarily based on green qualities that exist locally. Tools that consider green connectivity demand specialized knowledge and is therefore often not part of the design process.
The purpose of the project is therefore to make an inventory of the need for such a design support tool that considers the entire system of green areas and to specify requirements for its functionality. Such a tool could support projects so that they more effectively contribute to sustainability goals 11, sustainable cities and communities and goals 15, ecosystems and biodiversity. The preliminary idea is to integrate these new functionalities to the the already established tool PST.
