Meta Berghauser Pont has been interviewed by Chalmers ACE news and Hållbart samhälsbyggande on the negative effects of densification, following the results of a research project now concluded. The researchers have made a systematic overview of comprehensive plans from 59 Swedish municipalities and review of scientific articles, studying to what extent a motive for densification is mentioned, positive or negative, and to which field that motive connects to. Densification is a generally accepted strategy in urban planning but the review shows good reasons to neither forget the negative side effects, nor the need for new research questions.
