Jorge Gil was granted funding by the Chalmers Area of Advance Transport for two projects to explore the possibilities offered by new data sources to assess the impact of Covid-19 on urban mobility, of persons and goods.
In "Exploratory Analysis of New Data Sources to Assess the Impact of Covid-19 On Urban Mobilty" Jorge will investigate, together with Anders Larsson from Gothenburg University, the impact of COVID 19 on urban mobility in Sweden by identifying, acquiring and analysing different data sets collected by public authorities, the private sector, and open digital platforms.
The second project, "Exploratory Analysis of Urban Freight Data to Assess the Impact of Covid-19 on Freight Activity", with Michael Browne from GU and Ivan Sanchez-Diaz from Chalmers department of Technology Management and Economics, will investigate the impact of COVID 19 on urban freight by analysing different datasets from both public authorities and companies.
